AYJAYKENS's News

Posted by AYJAYKENS - 2 days ago

Hey guys, this is AYJAYKENS (Happy New Year BTW).

I don't know where to start or how to describe this, but I've decided to come back as a cartoonist and content creator under a new username, as I start this new chapter of my career after a long break of recovery. If you were on Instagram, DeviantArt, or Newgrounds from late 2021 to early 2024, you may recognize my flat art style and remember that I did girls showing their soles. Yes, I'm that guy who caused trouble without even knowing it; I was an ignorant f**k. I originally lost my career because of two individuals (I'm not going to say who they are here, but they're both successful creators who are known for their Pico-related content and OCs). Art and entertainment is truly what keeps me alive, and I originally quitted my career because I have faced cancel-culture; it really destroyed my health as well as my life. Even though I'm in the right, I was still accused of something serious, and most people believed the accuser and the misconceptions about me, along with cancel-culture being what it is. They weren't like: “Callout-thread regarding ‘blank,’” or “‘blank’ exposed,” nothing like that. Re-branding also does not save anyone, as people will still find out that you're the same person. After I realized that I'm in the right after thinking, gathering evidence, and exploring, I more or less knew what had to be done; coming back to my career, writing and placing my notes, and starting this new chapter of my creative life. I don't know if I have changed for better or for worse, because my art journey was very long and hard; throughout my life, I had to fight very hard for what I wanted or to reach my dreams, and what I went through in 2023 and especially 2024 was such a lethal and traumatizing experience.

To anyone who's thinking: “Oh, no! It's the f***ing Dan Sch***der a**hole! Cancel him, block him, kill this demon!” Shut the f**k up and listen to me. No one told me in the first place that girls showing feet (and fetish art of any kind) counts as NSFW and how old a character has to be; I was ignorant. I was in my DeviantArt phase and I was setted up while being under-educated; which led me to make those bad decisions. I got successful for all the wrong reasons, and also wasn’t hanging out with all the right people like my contemporaries were. I also grew up with bad influences (2000s and 2010s TV, and anime; of course, everything is going to be outdated, illegal/problematic, or via culture), hence my stupid ignorance. I never knew any better, and you people would understand if you knew where I come from. The document debunking my accusations, misconceptions, and possible allegations is linked in my bio if you want to read it. I wish people knew my side of the story, because I didn't know what I did was problematic. I didn't know that feet were actually NSFW, and thought a fetish is something you find attractive or amusing. I know that there's exceptions when it comes to cancel-culture, but we still have to listen to everyone, even if we think they're not in the right. As for the people I got in trouble with, they became three times more popular or successful, and are also friends or associated with new artists that I like; nothing about it is fair.

Is my document a guarantee that I'll get my career back? Not necessarily, but this is a risk that I am willing to take. I do not expect to have a Scott Pilgrim plot because of my misconceptions. What matters most about a career is that it makes me happy, and also keeps me sane because I am dealing with high stakes and stress in my personal life. My career is what I want to do with my life. It's my dream, it also helps me escape, and I don't want my childhood to feel like it's wasted either. As for the two people and their group who have ruined my life and health, I seventy-five percent forgive one of them, and 100 percent for the other. You may think that I'm crazy, but I've heard of instances where after terrorist attacks, or people are shot or injured, they forgive them. This is because they believe in forgiveness, redemption, and anyone can change or make a difference; forgiving enemies and believing in the words above are important. For the previous two sentences, the priest at my local church has said those scenarios, and I know that it's hard depending on who you are, but I know that “weak people take revenge and strong people forgive,” even though some quotes can be misinterpreted. Even after I was “canceled” I still make drawings that get lots of likes and views, and still developed a positive following. What sucks about boundaries and restrictions is that I might copy a character, idea, illustration, design, or something else without knowing it. It applies to both the two people as well as their group of people, making the creative process truly stressful. Not only did I write my document to get my career back, but also to hopefully delete the unnecessary and big boundaries that I caused by mistake. To those who followed me under my account before I rebranded to this username, I'm thankful because I get a bit of a headstart for my comeback. Hopefully my journey and my life will get better moving forward and I'm able to fix everything. If anyone says anything negative or criminal about me, ignore them; they're nothing but delusional and hypocritical pieces of s**t from Hell. I do not give a f**k. I just know that there will always be hope and everything will be okay. If Rebecca Doodles can explain her ignorance and actually win against cancel-culture, so can I and anyone else.

As 2024 was the biggest year for cancel-culture, as well as the 2020s so far, I wrote a PSA regarding the future of it as well as explaining everyone's perspective. If anyone is also interested in reading it, it's available in my blog via Newgrounds and DeviantArt. The document explaining my side of the story is also linked in my bios (or links section if you’re on Newgrounds) if you want to read it. I am willing to take this risk, I can win against cancel-culture without a time-traveling machine. I honestly think that I might die before 25 or 30, so I thought I would come back to what I love (and also passionate about) to make the most of it. Also, since half of the decade has passed, I guess there's never a better time than now to get back into my career. No, I will not deliver the notes to the people I got in trouble with, they have to discover it themselves for my safety. Wish me the best of luck and thanks for reading.

I was planning on posting this at the end of the year, but I feel that sooner is better than never. This is a very serious and important topic to discuss about.

Caution: Without mentioning people or activities in particular, these are my thoughts on cancel-culture throughout 2024 and the possible future of it; I am not supporting or defending anyone, nor do I condone or support any problematic, illegal, creepy, or disturbing activity (or crimes) of any kind. I am also not saying that any groups or people are in the right or wrong; I’m just sharing my perspective. With that out of the way, you have been warned.

With cancel-culture throughout 2024 (or the 2020s so far), that got me thinking. “Will cancel-culture be the same moving forward? Will canceled people be treated differently, or will cancel-culture be abolished.” 2024 has been the biggest year for cancel-culture, and I feel that it's going to get worse moving forward; it is not going to be an epidemic of criminals and creeps, it will be forever and get worse moving forward. Either that, or it may not be the same after 2024; we may treat canceled people differently, or cancel-culture might become abolished. Negative outcomes and happenings are guaranteed to happen more than positive ones; I'm positive that bad outcomes will still happen. I feel that commentary videos and callout posts create anxiety rather than educate others. I also feel that campaigns and movements against predators and creeps don't even let the criminals talk and share their side of the story (you can correct me if I'm wrong). Not everyone accused is listened to, even if they’re in the right. To say the least, it sucks to not know what can get you canceled, what it means to be canceled or problematic, and what else is illegal, creepy, disgusting or disturbing. There's no definitive list with every example to each bullet-point. With these two previous sentences, this is why we have criminals, degenerates, and cancel culture right and left.

It also sucks to not know what it means to be canceled or problematic; they are not self-explanatory words, and it requires more than common sense in my opinion. Who knows what else could be illegally creepy, disgusting or disturbing in the next ten years, am I right? Like, there’s no guarantee that you’ll keep your career forever, if that makes sense. Either way, they say: "Stand up for what you believe in," in this case, “Believing in second chances, redemption, forgiveness, people still able to make a difference no matter who they are, and anyone can change.” It may backfire and get you in trouble, but I don't blame you; even some activists out there have that mindset too, not just those who are religious. Trust me when I tell you that everyone on this planet has done something illegal or problematic in their lives, and will be called out or reminded of it one day; for their actions, it doesn't matter when. Can we possibly be educated enough, be under-educated, or overeducated (this is something to consider for everyone in the courtroom; the criminal, the victim, the witnesses and so on)? Again, I know that there are exceptions, but it’s essential that we listen to what everyone has to say, even if we think they’re not in the right. I feel that the real people that deserve to be “canceled” are those who invented and revolutionized cancel culture as we know it, as well as those who made it a mandatory community thing.

If you want to put an end to cancel-culture (or make it different), here are a few Change.org petitions relating to the topic (despite being made in 2020, they still hold up and are also legit). No, these are not malicious links:

Once again, this document does not support nor tolerate anyone who has done illegal or problematic stuff or even condone it. These are my thoughts on cancel-culture throughout 2024 (or this decade so far), and the possible future of it. This is not going to be an epidemic, it's going to get worse moving forward. I know that callout posts and commentary videos create anxiety rather than educate others. Please share this post with your friends, family, followers, anyone you know. Remember, educate, not silence and take away privileges from the ignorant; everyone has their own journey. By all means, if you ever get attacked by cancel-culture, please consider sharing your side of the story and debunking your accusations and possible allegations. If you have evidence, that's also great. To anyone who is afraid of being canceled, as long as you haven’t done anything illegal (or anything that is creepy, disturbing, gross, predatory, or problematic) via your work or when interacting with others, you’re fine. If you can, please be sure to also educate your audience and followers if you can; even if the internet is not a courtroom, the ignorant and under-educated are still out there. Hopefully we can have a much more caring and happy planet.

If anyone wants to come and attack me with pitchforks and torches, I used to not believe in cancel-culture and thought it’s just the internet, until I had to experience that traumatizing pain myself. Don’t worry, I’m in the right because I was ignorant; people just don’t know my side of the story and where I come from. Everyone’s lives are how their brains and thoughts are, and we are never educated enough.

This is just a ship that I feel passionate about. Since Murder Drones wrapped up, Digital Circus had a thrilling Halloween special, and GlitchX 2024 released recently, I thought it would be a good idea to post this meme. I’m surprised that no one else does this ship (no fanart, no fanfics, no nothing). Of course, the template and images are not mine and belong to their rightful owners.

Yes, N is also an adult, and I know that Ragatha is lesbian, but she is shipped with male characters too so it’s fine. Further explanation for the ship is also explained in the image above.

I also made this wallpaper for my iPad; I thought this would be the next best thing, because I wanted to get the plushies but I can’t get stuff outside of Amazon (once again, all images are not mine and belong to their rightful owners).

Hope you enjoyed this, and much love to you.
